Three hundred and sixty five.
The number of days in a year. (Duh.)
WAIT! It's Leap Year! We get 366 days this year. Woohoo!
And January 1st?
It’s just one of those days.
So, if you’re not currently feeling the New Year’s “life makeover” vibe – that’s ok.
You can start a new habit, make a lifestyle change, or reflect and evaluate your life on any day of the year.
• February 29th – bonus Leap Day!
• April 8th – one of the 51 other Mondays in 2024.
• July 4th – piggyback another US holiday.
• December 31st – yeah, you can!
Another option: use your birthday.
Technically, that's the start of every year for you. (And your birthday should be a holiday anyways!)
Plus, I bet you could create a really rad sparkly ball to drop from your countertop to celebrate.
Your life, your choice.
And if you dig the New Years vibe and feel inspired – get after it!
Dooooo it! Go all in! I’m cheering you on 1000%.
I love all the positive energy and hopeful vibes that follow the glowing ball drop.
But, if in three days or three months it’s not going as planned...
Take a deep breath, let it go. And pick a new day.
Because every day is an opportunity to begin.

ps – Do you have any New Year's traditions? Hit reply and let me know your favorite way to celebrate, or to just keep living your best life. Last year, I didn't go full resolution, but I did choose a vibe – and in hindsight, I'd say it definitely worked.
Blood sugar on juice
When we consume something like straight apple juice, the liquid format allows the sugar to be easily processed and make a beeline for our blood stream – creating an unhealthy spike in blood sugar. But, if you eat the whole apple, the natural unprocessed fiber in the fruit actually slows down the distribution of sugar in the bloodstream. Another good benefit of consuming foods in their natural, whole form.

What if you did the brave thing… And chose growth over comfort. Would it feel: Wise? Empowering? Inspiring? Or… Exhausting? Vulnerable? Facepalming? (It’s an adjective now.) What if it was all of the above? That’s how it’s felt for me the past year: Soaring highs and recharge-on-the-couch lows. One day I’m the bird cruising a floaty breeze. The next? I’m the bird huddled in the nest going “nah, that’s too windy.” Maybe that’s just the flight path of growth. Updrafts, sunshine — and wind...
It felt like I triggered a private earthquake. My ‘97 Jeep Cherokee had started VIOLENTLY shaking. The steering wheel jackhammered against my palms. Not ideal while descending a steep hill on a two-lane highway—at 65 mph.(For my Colorado folks—that final hill of Hwy 36 into Boulder.) I side-eyed the emergency brake. It was held together with duct tape. Dare I? After what felt like minutes of terrifying chaos (probably 60 seconds)I managed to pull to the shoulder. Holy deep breaths....
Keep going. You read that right. I know you’re on the brink of something. Whether it’s just for you, your loved ones, or the world… I know it’s awesome. Because you are. If you’re thinking: “Lady, you crazy – you don’t even know me!” I know this – humans as a species are awesome. We're capable of so much more goodness than we think. And this planet could really use any smidge of positivity you feel like sharing. (Understatement.) So if you think for a second that it’s not worth...
